MAF activates Macrophages and macrophage activation stimulates the 2nd line of defence in the immune system by drawing white blood cells (lymphocytes) to the point of infection.

However cancer cells have a protective protein coating that prevents the lymphocytes from penetrating the cancer and causing apoptosis (cell death).

Our own bodies produce a pancreatic enzyme that strips this protective coating and renders the cancer cell open for attack. This is how our immune system works with macrophages digesting cancer tumours and lymphocytes attacking the cancer cells.

There are many reasons why our own pancreas may not function properly but the result is the same our lymphocytes simply cannot penetrate the protein shell of the cancer cells

Fortunately, as with Vitamin B17, nature has provided a back up in the form of Pineapples and Papaya Melons.

Enzymes – A brief description

Enzymes are the catalysts for any growth or change in the body, whether it is digesting the latest meal, re-growing a broken fingernail, or enabling the immune system to fight cancer. Nothing happens without enzymes. Enzymes are found in raw food and produced in the pancreas, which flows into the small intestine (where, interestingly, cancer is never found), but the enzyme production is often exhausted due to having to make digestive enzymes because cooked food has all its enzymes destroyed. This means that the pancreas concentrates on the first job at hand, digestion, leaving it often unable to manufacture sufficient immune support enzymes. It is only recently that interest in enzymes has created a much greater awareness, and for good reason.

Prevention and treatment of Cancer

Pancreatic enzymes and vegetable enzymes are part of the supportive theory of cancer. You have Papaya melons as the source of the enzyme Papain and pineapples as a source of the enzyme Bromelain.  The demasking effect of these enzymes against the protein shell of the malignant cell is something very concrete in the immunology of cancer.

Bromelain and Papain are available in tablet form but may not contain the other important nutrients found naturally in these fruits. It is better that the individual seeking these enzymes get them directly from the fresh ripe pineapple and papaya fruit.

The highest concentrations of Bromelain can be found in the stem, as much as half a pineapple a day should be ingested.  Try blending half a pineapple with half a papaya melon - this is the way to go.

You have nothing to lose by eating fresh pineapple and papaya melons.

Viruses & Bacteria

Bromelain and Papain are known as proteolytic enzymes, meaning that they have the unique quality to digest proteins, reduce inflammation and counteracts viral and harmful bacterial behaviour in the body.

In the case of CFS it seems that the associated viruses can block the VDR, conceal themselves with biofilms, and when their lives are threatened by a newly built immune system, they can arise from their dormant state and go on the attack. The result is an immune response.  If the immune system is strong enough then the virus will be defeated.

Whether recovery takes place or not the side effects are similar – aching joints, inflammation, fever, nausea, fatigue.  Just what you would expect as the immune system goes on the attack.

Over 75% of our participants experienced an immune response. Of these 80% reported feelings of improvement while 20% actually felt worse. get these figures right

Medical research has shown that Bromelain and Papain are effective at stripping the biofilm and render the viruses and bacteria homeless soon to be chased down, and digested, by macrophages.

Again you have nothing to lose by eating fresh pineapple and papaya melons.

Bromelain may also contribute to the following health applications:

  • An anti-mucousal, Bromelain reduces mucous and cough associated with sinus infection.
  • May reduce swelling and inflammation from hay fever.
  • Powerful remedy for indigestion, bromelain aids in the process of protein digestion, relieves stomach upset and heartburn.
  • May reduce pain and inflammation associated with arthritic conditions.
  • An anti-viral and anti-bacterial, Bromelain has been shown to kill several forms of viruses and bacteria, particularly involved with bronchial and urinary tract infections.
  • May aid in bacteria-induced diarrhea and inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Promotes healing of wounds and scar tissue.
  • Reduces negative forms of cholesterol as it possesses an anti-clotting action, aiding in the prevention of stroke and heart disease.
  • Acts as an overall digestive aid.
  • May help dissolve parasitic eggs and larvae.
  • Promotes healthy menstruation by balancing regulatory hormones.
  • Contains enzymatic properties that can dissolve warts.
  • Acts as an overall immune-system booster.
  • May aid in upper respiratory tract infections and Peyronie's disease.
  • May prevent flu, colds, ear infections, lupus, gout, muscle soreness and phlebitis.
  • May reduce susceptibility to food allergies, especially those associated with wheat and grain allergies.

One Japanese study found that Bromelain-infused wheat flour did not cause an allergic response in individuals with gluten-sensitivity, possibly due to its enzymatic ability to change the structure of protein.
